Tioman Island – ed in Paradise!

Tioman Island was recommended to me by friends and for this trip, unlike the busyness of Thailand, we knew we wanted to have more chill time (I say we, I mean Joel).

It’s difficult to gauge the best place to stay on Tioman Island as there are several different areas. We opted for a quieter part of the island as our accommodation, The Tunamaya Beach and Spa Resort, was better-rated on TripAdvisor and we were still just a boat ride away from Tekek Village – a more built-up and touristy area.

Holds an Ibiza My Heart

“Ibiza in the summer with the gals” – we couldn’t get any more twenty-something-years-old and cliché if we tried but, what a place!

I could go on and tell you all about the different clubs, however, I’m sure some hardcore “ravers” could give you a much better insight… So, I’ll just ramble on about the best bits, beaut places to eat and things to do!

Brighton Your Day

After a month away, it’s safe to say that funds were going to be pretty low for the rest of the summer. In a moment of madness, Joel and I decided to buy a tent and go camping…

Brighton was rated one of the best places in the UK to visit during the British summer, however, hotels and apartments were pricey. When researching well-reviewed campsites, Brighton Caravan and Motorhome Club Site hit top of the list and we were just a short walk from the Pier and town centre – and at the fraction of the price!

Un- Bali -evable

Bali was the final stop of our Asia trip and the week that we planned to treat ourselves after weeks of hostels! One thing that is so valuable for budget-travelling is how far your money goes in Asia, you can almost live like a king on a pauper’s wage – love it!

After hearing mixed reviews on places to visit in Bali, we landed on the most positively talked about… Ubud, Gili Trawangan and Seminyak.
