Paris: Eiffel in Love (Part 1)

I’ve decided to break our Paris trip down into three parts (shock horror, I have lots to say) so, check back for ‘Part 2’ next week…

Our trip to Paris was almost completely forgotten about having booked it on an impulse when travelling back from our last New Year’s adventure to Newquay. We loved celebrating the new year somewhere new and, with a booking.com sale, it was too good to resist! Keep on reading!

Afternoon Tea – licious!

Following on from last week’s blog post, I got the pleasure of spending Saturday indulging with afternoon tea at Coombe Abbey, as a birthday treat from Poppy.

I’ve been to Coombe Abbey Country Park so many times, but this time it was nice to swap the muddy wellies and a wooly hat for a bit of sophistication (the place, not Poppy and me)…

Manchester – rific!

I’m back after a two-week posting hiatus…

It was mine and Joel’s three-year anniversary in November so, we decided to book a weekend away to Manchester – I cannot believe I’d never been before!

Leamington – s to Do!

Sometimes the nicest places are only on your door step! An impromptu Sunday trip to Leamington Spa shaped up to be the loveliest afternoon.

Joel and I were feeling a little fragile (putting it mildly) after a friend’s Halloween party the night before. So, on the agenda was fresh air, carbs and sugar…

Tioman Island – ed in Paradise!

Tioman Island was recommended to me by friends and for this trip, unlike the busyness of Thailand, we knew we wanted to have more chill time (I say we, I mean Joel).

It’s difficult to gauge the best place to stay on Tioman Island as there are several different areas. We opted for a quieter part of the island as our accommodation, The Tunamaya Beach and Spa Resort, was better-rated on TripAdvisor and we were still just a boat ride away from Tekek Village – a more built-up and touristy area.

Kuala Lumpur – fect!

Another summer, another trip to Asia. I genuinely don’t think I will ever tire of exploring Asia, it’s a world away from the Western world and I’m obsessed with indulging in its culture. Not to mention, that I’m a student on a budget, and your money goes so much further!

Holds an Ibiza My Heart

“Ibiza in the summer with the gals” – we couldn’t get any more twenty-something-years-old and cliché if we tried but, what a place!

I could go on and tell you all about the different clubs, however, I’m sure some hardcore “ravers” could give you a much better insight… So, I’ll just ramble on about the best bits, beaut places to eat and things to do!

Brighton Your Day

After a month away, it’s safe to say that funds were going to be pretty low for the rest of the summer. In a moment of madness, Joel and I decided to buy a tent and go camping…

Brighton was rated one of the best places in the UK to visit during the British summer, however, hotels and apartments were pricey. When researching well-reviewed campsites, Brighton Caravan and Motorhome Club Site hit top of the list and we were just a short walk from the Pier and town centre – and at the fraction of the price!
