Continuing on from my Paris blog post about making the most of what you see… Ella and I spent Saturday afternoon meandering around the streets of Shoreditch with no real destination.
Shoreditch is renowned for its artsy and “hip” vibe, attracting a lot of young people and creatives. It’s steeped with vintage and niche shops and cafés and boasts some incredible street art! Not all art has to be trapped in a gallery and costly to see.
I love how much the street art revives some of the derelict-looking buildings and corroding walls; breathing a new lease of life into the streets of Shoreditch.
I don’t plan on writing reams for this post because, after all, a picture speaks a thousand words, but I just wanted to give these detailed and vibrant pieces some recognition…
“I laugh at the way some people think graffiti is all selfish tagging and vandalism. Thoughtful street art is like good fiction – it speaks out on behalf of everyone, for us all to see.” – Karla H. Krueger
