Cerealsly Good Breakfast

Who doesn’t love a cocktail for breakfast?

Only this time, it’s with cereal and milk…

But not your basic Cornflakes and semi-skimmed (I’ll apologise to my gal Liv because that’s her favourite cereal combination – I’m trying to educate her!).

I was scrolling through Instagram and on my ‘explore page’ was a post about a cereal café that was going to be opening on Brick Lane, London. I’m not from London but I was 100% willing to arrange a trip around a visit to a cereal café.

The Cereal Killer Café is tucked into Brick Lane and as soon as you walk in, you are immediately hit by the toughest decision of your day – or maybe week. What cereal concoction do you choose. If you or your friend are: a fussy eater, on a diet, a poor decision maker, on a budget, a hey-big-spender, a vegan, a vegetarian, gluten intolerant, dairy intolerant – this place caters for the masses.

  • Almost 100 different types of cereal (America, UK and Global)
  • Over 20 different types of milk
  • Over 25 different toppings
  • More Pop Tart flavours than you knew existed
  • Monster-sized stacked hot choclates

I’ll admit, it’s overwhelming when you first arrive. You need to pick cereals that are going to mix well together and satisfy your taste buds, and your curiosity… I mean how am I going to know how good “Girl Scouts Cookie Thin Mints” cereal tastes unless I try it? But if you’re like me, and you still cannot withal down your choices, then do what I do and have 2 large bowls – that’s 6 different cereals ticked off the list in one visit (you’ll learn as my blog posts continue that I have the appetite of a grizzly bear preparing for hibernation)!

It’s the perfect place to indulge in the nostalgic décor of 90s videos, games and comics or, if you’re a child, it’s the perfect place to learn about the wonders of Saved by the Bell’s Zach Morris and the endless hours of fun provided by a pinball machine.

As a result of their overwhelming success, a café was opened in Camden, London and then in the Bullring, Birmingham (I had to visit them all!). They even host event nights like 90s Disney parties and private parties – I’m still waiting for my mum to hire it for my next birthday…

They even do student discount and if that doesn’t make being in education worthwhile, then what does?!

Oh, and I forgot, they have beds instead of seats – I don’t think you could feel any more homey other than if you turned up in your pyjamas!

  1. This is such a cool idea. I think they have something like this in the US. I am pretty simple. I like corn pops, frosted flakes, fruit loops or cheerios. Add bananas or honey. Thanks for article.
