Explore the Clobe

Hello, I’m Chloe, but I like to be called Clo!

I’m from the Midlands, England.

Here’s a little bit about me and my blog…

I’m currently studying at university and I work part-time for a registered charity that works with children and young adults with disabilities.

I’m a massive foodie. I class ‘scouring the internet for eating places to try’ as a hobby. I love fashion (albeit you might see my clothes and disagree!) and home interiors; and my biggest aspiration in life is to explore anywhere and everywhere in the world.

I decided to start a blog to write about and photograph my travels, from local trips to trips around the world. My blog isn’t strictly about travel, it will just be filled with things that interest me and that I enjoy to write about (which I hope you will enjoy reading too!).

I think my interest for taking more care with things I post started when I became obsessed with writing a witty caption for every Instagram post I did. It would take me hours to upload a picture because I couldn’t do it until I had a witty caption that I was happy with, haha. So, I’ll apologise in advance for my cheesy play-on-words that you’re likely to see a lot of! You may have already noticed my first one in this blog title…

I’m definitely not a professional, off-the-beaten-track explorer but Trip Advisor is my bible and I’d just like to share my experiences of places to visit, places to stay and places to eat – and anything that else that pops into my mind as I spill words onto the page (I’ll try and keep my gabble to a minimum because I know you all have lives)!

My motivation to earn money is to spend it on visiting new places… and buying some new outfits ready for the photo spamming!

I visit somewhere and spend the next few months uploading pictures to Instagram to try to fill the void of no longer being there. I then spend all my time searching for my next place to go – as well as doing a few sums to see if I can actually afford to do it… and when I think I can’t: I contact work, beg for more hours, and work like a hound to make sure that I make it happen!

I’m a firm believer in the power of a piggy bank for saving. A nice big jar where I can’t get my jammy hands on the money, so all I can do it fill, fill, fill until I’m about to go away and then I smash the jar to smithereens! Then repeat process.

“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination with reality, and instead of thinking of how things may be, see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson

Thank you for taking the time to read my first post and I hope you check out my future posts!
